Hon. Omirin Mourns Owa Obokun Adimula ile Ijesa

Member representing Ijesa South, Federal Constituency, Honorable Emmanuel Olusanya Omirin, sympathized with Ijesa sons and daughters.

Omirin in a statement personally signed by him, on Thursday, described the late Owa Obokun as an advocate of peaceful coexistence of Yoruba people and people of other tribes.

“I extend my condolences to the People of Ijesa land, great sons and daughters of Ijesa land and the generality of Yoruba people on the passing away of our revered traditional ruler, Oba (Dr) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolan II the Adimula of ijesa land.

According to him; The death of Kabiesi is touching and painful one to the entire nation for his unforgettable roles towards the progress and stability of the country. He was an advocate of peaceful coexistence of Yoruba people and people of other tribes.

“Baba was a walking encyclopedia with vast knowledge on all areas of life.

“My times with him while alive had impacted me with many life lessons which I Carry about, most especially when I was the Atakunmosa East Local Government Chairman.

“His native intelligence was second to none. He was always frank and direct and would not mince words in speaking truth to powers.

“As painful as his exit is, Baba died as an achiever. He ruled his subject for a long and prosperous reign 42 years.

“He was blessed with great and accomplished children and lived to see many glorious era in Ijesa land, Osun state and Nigeria as a whole.

“I pray for the soul of Oba Dr Gabriel Adekunle Aromolan, to rest in peace and God shall forgive all his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest
