Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi OFR, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry, has generously donated over 300 rams to his constituents in Osun East Senatorial District to mark the Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.
This annual gesture aims to support less privileged households in celebrating the festival with ease, benefiting traditional rulers, religious leaders, Muslim faithfuls, and various community members across the ten local governments in the district, according to Chief Femi Oloka, Coordinator of the Senator’s Constituency Office in Ilesa, Osun State.
Mr. Oloka praised Senator Fadahunsi, an Ilase-Ijesa native, for his continuous socio-economic interventions that uplift grassroots communities.
He also urged Muslims to use the Eid-El-Kabir period to pray for peace and stability in Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.
Eid-El-Kabir, also known as Eid al-Adha, is a significant Islamic festival commemorating Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion and obedience to Allah, traditionally marked by the sacrifice of animals such as rams, which are then shared among family and the needy.
Senator Fadahunsi’s donation aligns with the spirit of the festival, promoting generosity and communal support.
