Senior political figure Omole Olusegun Omo-Osodi yesterday challenged Ibukun Fadipe Oloka (popularly IBK) after Fadipe described Senator Fadahunsi’s recent statement as “mouth diarrhea.”
Omole said he was not surprised by Fadipe’s defence of Governor Ademola Adeleke, calling it predictable given what he described as Fadipe’s close ties to the governor and his inner circle.
He accused Fadipe, Yeye Dupe Adeleke Sanni (the governor’s chief of staff), Kazeem Akinleye and others of embezzling over N17 billion SUBEB counterpart funds.
“If Governor Adeleke were as popular as Fadipe claims, why are he and his party so restless, running from polling unit to polling unit?” Omole asked, saying the behaviour betrays insecurity rather than confidence.
Omole dismissed Fadipe’s attack on Senator Fadahunsi’s political standing as the ranting of a “political jobber” seeking relevance.
He recalled Senator Fadahunsi’s role in the People’s Democratic Party primary in 2018, saying Fadahunsi supported Adeleke at a time when the governor was politically vulnerable.
Omole also challenged Fadipe to account for his three-year tenure as chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). “Fadipe’s only stewardship is empowering thuggery and cultists,” Omole said, accusing him of sponsoring political violence.
