As the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026, approaches, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry and Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the state, particularly in Osun East, to unite and give their full support to the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).

Senator Fadahunsi made the appeal in his August goodwill message to constituents, which was signed by his Head of Media and Public Enlightenment, Omole Olusegun Omo-Osodi.

According to the Senator, the APC has emerged as a formidable political force in Osun State, attributing the party’s strength to what he described as the transformational leadership and developmental achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the past three years.

He stated that President Tinubu’s administration has positively impacted the lives of Osun residents through infrastructural development, improved healthcare, social welfare programmes, and other people-centred policies. He also commended APC lawmakers at both the state and federal levels for complementing the President’s efforts through initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people and reducing poverty.

“It is evident that every family in Osun State has benefitted from this administration in one way or another. If the Accord Party had any sense of shame, they would not even contest this election. The party has lost all credibility to the APC due to the exceptional leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Senator Fadahunsi said.

The Senator urged APC leaders, stakeholders, and members to put aside internal differences and work together to mobilize voters across the state in support of the party’s governorship candidate ahead of the August 15 election.

“Now is not the time to dwell on internal disagreements. It is time to unite and stand firm against our common political opponents. The Accord Party is gone, and we must ensure it does not return to power in Osun State,” he added.

Senator Fadahunsi concluded by wishing the people of Osun East Senatorial District and all residents of Osun State a prosperous and fulfilling new month.
