Ahead of Sunday AFCON final, Deputy whip of the Senate, Senator Nweboyi has applaud the Super Eagle.

Nweboyi stated this in an exclusive interview with the National Assembly New Media Forum at the weekend.

” I want to use this medium to commend our national team (the Super Eagle of Nigeria), For the wonderful outing so far, and I believe that they maintain the tempo, Today they’re going to beat Ivory Coast 2: 0. And I believe that the African cup for 2023 is For Nigeria and Nigerians.

The Ebonyi born lawmaker who also speak on the insecurity situation of the Country, frown at the high increase of cases.

“Just last Thursday, the Senate invited the Service chiefs and their parents ministries and ministers to explain to us why insecurity is not abading but increasing on daily basis. And it has even gotten into the capital city of Nigeria Abuja about 10 cases of kidnapping recorded within the last two months, and it is something terrible.

According to him the service chiefs   unfortunately, they weren’t complete. And the Senate has to adjoined at their instance, to Tuesday. The 13th. Feb. 2024 for the important briefing,

Nweboyi said “Nigerians are waiting, you will recall that during the screening of the service chiefs, they promised Nigerians that insecurity would be a thing of the pass upon assumption of office, but it appears as if the insecurities is on the increase and that is why we have summon them to explain why that is happening.

He noted that  Nigerians are very anxious,”

“You know, to Liberate security from the bog will can’t coordinate alignment. We’ll need people that will give us solution to the problem, not people that will be coming up with rhetorics, throwing blame the inch from one security agency to the order, we need the result. And as a senator, I must tell you, we are out to represent Nigerians in this respect, to an extent that if a service chief is not performing, or find out that the IGP is not performing, we will be left with no option than to make necessary recommendation towards that service chief to the presidency. And I believe that Mr. president is also for Nigerians and he will do the needful towards giving Nigerians what we promised them in our party manifesto, which security of life and property is one of the prominent in part of our political manifesto.

On Admission Racketeering

Senator Nweboyi said, “We can never swipe the matter under the carpet, if not for the budget, we would have taken up the matter.

” I want to assure you is that as I speak the matter has been committed to the relevant committee, And I know in no time those agencies will be summoned and then Nigerians will see and know the outcome, is not going to be business as usual.

“We shall wage into the petition, which have been duly led and duly assigned to the Committee on Public petitions and that of tetuary institutions nstitutions, in no time we will come up with our resolution on that.

On Economic Hardship

He admitted that there is serious hardship but not applicable to Nigeria alone, Nweboyi said this is a global issue.

“I must admit, as a leader that yes, things are not easy but this is not only applicable to Nigeria, is all over the world, the economy globally is bad and we should not think of returning for a subsidy, because that has been a conduit pipe for the cabals to siphon the resources of this country, and the detriment of the poor masses. What I can add is that our revenue is in the sight of increase because of that subsidy removal. And in no time, Nigerians start seeing the effect of those economic policies, we are going to sit on our routes, and auto social positions which we made in order to make lives better for Nigerians as contained in the last budget of 2024.

“This is a new government. Let us wait and see how it goes but I assure you that  President Tinubu is a man that has a zero tolerance for corruption and is out to give Nigerians the best.

“I think we’re getting it right. Because our president is a man that does not tolerate corruption, and that is why when the issue of the humanitarian saga came on board, he immediately suspended the minister, and set up a committee to actually investigate that.

On his 2024 Parliamentary Agenda

Well, you know, our job as a parliamentarian is to make laws and formulate policies all geared towards making the masses happy. We just passed our budget. As a Senator, I, was able to make inputs in the budget, like provision of internal roads in my senatoria district, and also come up with
