Distinguished Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry, is deeply saddened by the tragic and untimely death of Mr. Ismaila Ibrahim and Hon. Kasali Adebayo, two dedicated members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ilesa West Local Government.

Senator Fadahunsi in a statement by his media hub, strongly condemns this cruel and unjust act of violence, describing it as a reprehensible attack on democracy, peace, and the sanctity of human life. He expresses his profound grief and solidarity with the families of the deceased, the PDP family, and the entire Ijesa community during this difficult time.

“My heart is heavy as I mourn the loss of our dear brothers, Ismaila Ibrahim and Hon. Kasali Adebayo. Their deaths are not only a personal tragedy for their families but also a painful loss for our great party and our community. No one deserves to be killed for their political beliefs. It is even more distressing that those responsible for this gruesome act still walk free, believing they are above the law.”

The Senator calls on security agencies to take swift and decisive action in apprehending the perpetrators and ensuring justice is served. He urges law enforcement to intensify efforts to protect all citizens, regardless of political affiliation, and prevent further acts of violence.

“I extend my deepest condolences to the families of Ismaila and Kasali, and I pray that God grants them the strength to bear this immense loss. May their souls rest in perfect peace, and may our land never witness such senseless bloodshed again. We must all stand together against violence, intimidation, and any attempt to subvert the will of the people through fear and force.”
