Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District, and the Chairman Senate Committee on Industry, has initiated a significant infrastructure project aimed at boosting agriculture and economic development in the region.
The project involves the grading of rural roads across the 10 local governments within the district, covering a total of 370 kilometres.
This initiative is designed to enhance the transportation of farm inputs and outputs, thereby improving accessibility for farmers and stimulating economic growth.
The local governments benefiting from this project include Ori-Ade, Obokun, Ilesa East, Ilesa West, Atakumosa West, Atakumosa East, Ife North, Ife East, Ife Central, Ife South, and Modakeke LCDA. Community leaders have expressed gratitude for Senator Fadahunsi’s efforts, noting that these improvements will increase farmers’ income and improve their livelihoods by facilitating faster and easier transportation of farm produce to markets.
This project aligns with Senator Fadahunsi’s broader advocacy for agricultural development, as he has also called for investments in large-scale rice farming to strengthen the naira and support economic growth.
His commitment to addressing the critical needs of his constituents has been commended by community leaders, who encourage other public office holders to emulate his leadership style.
