In a bold move to combat hunger, Sen. Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi OFR, representing Osun East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries, has distributed over 20,000 bags of rice and millions of naira in cash aid to residents across the 10 local government areas of the Ife-Ijesa zone.
The palliative reached beneficiaries through All Progressives Congress (APC) ward chairmen in the local governments and area councils, across party lines. Sen. Fadahunsi also extended financial support to party members, vowing to sustain such interventions “as long as I remain on earth and serve as Senator.”
The distribution was made across party lines, which includes, okada riders, religious leaders, traditional institutions, market women, support groups among others.
APC State Chairman, Hon. Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, who spoke on behalf of party leadership, commended the Senator’s unwavering dedication to constituent welfare and called on members to pray for his continued success.
