In a massive effort to tackle hunger and hardship, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi OFR, representing Osun East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries, has distributed over 10,000 bags of rice and millions of naira in cash to residents across the 10 local government areas in the Ife-Ijesa zone.
The palliatives were channeled through All Progressives Congress (APC) ward chairmen, local government area offices, and distributed across party lines to ensure wide reach. Beneficiaries included members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), widows, aged women, and other vulnerable groups throughout the senatorial district.
Speaking at the event, Sen. Fadahunsi reaffirmed his commitment, stating he would continue such interventions “as long as I remain on earth and serve as Senator.” He also provided financial support to APC party members, emphasizing sustained welfare for all constituents.
APC State Chairman, Hon. Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, praised the senator’s dedication on behalf of party leadership. “We commend his unwavering focus on constituent welfare and urge all members to pray for his continued success,” Lawal said.
The gesture has been hailed as a timely boost amid economic challenges, reinforcing Sen. Fadahunsi’s reputation as a champion of grassroots empowerment.
