I rejected an offer extended to me by the PDP-led Enugu State Government through the Chairman Of DEUM Construction Company LTD,Chief(Engr) Chinwe Mba,Board Chairman,Enugu State Water Board,to work for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council in the state,of which my village man,Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo,former Governor of Enugu State,was the Deputy Director-general of the Campaign Council for Atiku Abubakar,to serve as a member of the Media Directorate.I did so because I know Atiku robbed the country through privatisations and sundry corrupt proceeds,too numerous to mention here,so he ought not to lead the country again.Atiku and Peter Obi are political disasters!
I saw in Peter Obi,the man who was ready to do the biddings of the youth from the cradle,then I pitched tent with him.I rose to the position of a two-star Convener of Support Groups,heading Nigeria Engineers For Peter Obi,Nigeria Traders for Peter Obi,and,later,Assistant National Secretary of the foremost Obidient Crusaders Movement,OCM.I later rose to manage the Nigeria Unites For Peter Obi(NUPO) after they were under-funded,where we printed lots of campaign materials.I willingly surrendered to waste my property/wealth to see an Igbo man as the President of Nigeria since the return of democracy in Nigeria in 1999.I committed my resources to seeing a revolution in Peter Obi.I said let Biafra agitation rest with Peter Obi’s Presidency and waxed to see the feat through,though we did not succeed.I did my best as a stubborn spender.I proved truly that I am of Igbo blood,but later learnt that politics is not a game of tribe,religion,race,culture and marriage.
I discovered that in Ekiti State where I have business,there was no presence of Peter Obi since it was the stronghold of the APC,I made in-roads to Afe Babalola University,Ado-Ekiti,where I mobilised lecturers to buy into the consumption-to-production economy mantra of Peter Obi.Unfortunately,when I paid all the bills,I discovered that PO did not have ardent supporters in the state.He never planned to win in the state from his seen campaign template of the state.He fulfilled the necessity campaigning in the stronghold of Jagabsn,but never to win as imagined.In all,we paid all the prices of financial obligations of the said campaign.
I took up the job to start educating the people of Ekiti State on how to make Nigeria a production economy from consumption economy.I employed indigenes who understood the local languages and cultures of the Ekiti,Yoruba to help integrate the policies and programmes of Peter Obi as the next President of Nigeria.
I personally deployed 12m to mount billboards and maga posters at strategic locations,and with the help of the Big Tent SC,I was able to make in-roads to estates and GRAs in Ekiti State to sell Peter Obi’s candidacy.While I was closing my singular business and working for President of Nigeria of Igbo extraction,wealthy Igbo traders were doling out millions for Ashawos around them in club centres,forgetting that their own bloody brother,Peter Obi was contesting for the Office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.I saw all as the irony of the game of politics.I never refused to do what I was supposed to have done has become the source of my happiness after the loss of presidential election of 2023 by the LP.
It was very calamitous for me to have discovered that all political parties in Ekiti State had compromised to install Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria;nevertheless,I remained unperturbed in my pursuit.I had to retrace my campaign spending and decided to go to various institutions to gather votes for my tribesman,after I discovered that it would be a taboo to vote for Peter Obi in the state by the inhabitants.Having wasted a lot of funds,I approached a renowned Ohaneze Chieftain to bring Ekiti millionaires of the Igbo extraction to fund PO’s campaign in the state,but all went on deaf ears.They abhorred bring partisan or engaging in political enthusiasm.
I got support from Ayo Ariyo of the Big Tent Support Group managed by Prof. Pat. Utomi to register the intending polling agents,I felt respite that boys would at least relax after work,but after mobilising the youths as polling agents,they were not paid thereafter.The LP’s stalwarts like us paid our respective agents and covered the wanted-to-dent image of the LP.
We all ended up the presidential campaign and election without the protagonists,PO and the party’s leader,Julius Abure spending a dime for the campaign and all.Peiole were bewildered no witnessing what PO professed to be ab initio.All efforts were lost as believed by the belligerent supporters of PO to the core.That was politics!
We printed t-shirts,billboards,face-caps,bangles,flags,fliers,etc to sell our presidential candidate,Peter Obi,but we lost all in debauchery and callousness on the part of the leadership of the LP.Tbey were feeding fat to the detriment of the campaign.They were I tested in feathering their own nests like hungry birds.Politics needs more money as Corroborated by angry depraved supporters.
The disarrayed Support Groups were brought to life by robust leadership acumen of Anslem Eragbe,who registered,mobilised,organised and certified all the LP SGs and stakeholders,who served in the LP campaigns of 2023.Eragbe was the LP National Chairman I sighted at work,with his mastery of party leadership,organisation and management.Had Eragbe been made the de facto LP National Chairman,Peter Obi would have emerged as the President-elect after the general election of 2023.God knows the best till now and then.
Eragbe deployed all his resources as a Senatorial Candidate of the LP in Edo North Senatorial Zone to see PO through,which I told him that I would draw nearer to him to serve as his Special Adviser to the Minister that he would be appointed if PO becomes the President,and decorated him as a minister,as he deserved from his good job in the Presidential Campaign.
Later,Eragbe went further to mobilise funds for PO’s Presidential Campaign in his own capacity,meeting I tested wealthy supporters of Peter Obi Presidential Project,but Abure later became the clog to the wheel of his(Eragbe’s) progress for the LP.At the end,Eragbe lost his election to become a Senator in Edo North Senatorial Zone,while PO lost his election to the presidency.The LP seemed not united before the general election of 2023.We must weed the party of moles like Julius Abure and Peter Obi.
The very causes of corruption on the part of Julius Abure that led the LP into colloidal loss in the past election were the just the causes of the internal imbroglio in the LP.Those who burnt night candles to see PO through in the said election with might and wit were those being terribly short-changed in the process and scheme of things in the party via suspensions and sacks.The LP needs total overhauling and refurbishment to rebuilding the collapsed house.There ought to be a room to pacify the heroes of the LP’s Presidential Election of 2023.We need that to cement a lasting unity in the party.
As it were,we should call to book all those who led the party into the gigantic losses recorded after the general election outings.Abure and PO must not be exonerated as the causes of the LP’s election woes in 2023.They must be expelled from the party.
Abure’s maladministration in the party was a source of more worries to the lovers of democracy.The LP’s campaigns were more of social media jamborees or mere rantings,instead of producing the expected results.We must not field failures again in the LP to contest elections on behalf of the party.
It is now believed that PO and Abure were Siemens twin leaders who came into the LP to perfect selfish hatchet jobs for their political adventures come 2027 for the gains of the PDP.The voyage of PO,Abure and cohorts in 2023 general elections was that of sailors who came to navigate for future exploration.
Peter Obi and Julius Abure are of the PDP,they were not and never are of the PDD.Obidient Movement is just the structure used by the voyagers to turn the LP as a subsidiary of the PDP for 2027 general election successes.They had failed before their arrival!
As Apapa Faction of the LP has been vindicated by courts,circumstances,truth,justice and the law,let us obey the rule of law and
join any faction of the LP that is seen by the eyes of the law.The Apapa Faction of the LP has been vindicated timelessly and,the LP must toe the path of law and work under the legally vindicated faction of the LP.The law is supreme!The law is the winner;the party,LP is also the winner;the masses are the winners,and the rule of law stands.
